Any Arcserve Backup guru's about ???

I know this is probably in the wrong forum but I can't actually find a forum for this kind of situation.

I need to restore some data from a backup media in Arcserve, however the media expiration date has passed so every time I open the restore by session to access the files it's greyed out because the tapes are expired.

How can I access these expired tapes ??? Only way I could get the tapes active as far as I know is to format the tapes but then I lose the data on them ??

Is there no option to re-catalogue the contents?

I think its probably pruned the old data from the database, every 30 days by default? You will need to scan(or restore the database). Its been a while but im sure a scan of the media will enter its contents into the database, then you can select the files to restore.
