I'm looking to buy a new laptop after Christmas, oddly enough it's ended up that I'll have quite abit of spare cash after Christmas this year, and I'm planning on grabbing a laptop with one of the Arrandale's (probably) out on the 11th Jan.

Problem is there's nothing to browse yet - I can't seem to find any laptops which have been announced or rumored to have the Arrandales. Am I just too early as the marketing teams work on Christmas?

Also what do you guys think of the Arrandale's in general? They should reduce the overall TDP by 7-10W roughly (>CPU draw but no GPU), reduce the price and be more energy efficient but do you think they'll make a huge difference to the laptop market? I'd expect them to draw up the lower average CPU clock (no more of the 1.6/7 dual-cores in the really cheap notebooks) but are consumer's going to go for them in a big way? I don't see them being a big improvement for "the-man-on-the-street" as opposed to tech junkie's seeking their next "fix".

But ye, I'm mostly looking for info on upcoming laptops, any ideas on prices for instance - the CPU should be cheaper but will they only feature in higher-spec machines (~£600) on release and filter down etc, i.e. the high price for first-adopters. Would anyone recommend waiting for the Intel's "tock" relseases?
