Do we have one on here?

I bought the Gladius mouse at £64.99 and to my horror i opened it for Christmas and realised that the mouse feet on it do not extend the full way where there is the inprint for the actual stick on feet of which you get two sets. There is basically a gap, And as one would expect it catches on cloth surfaces. I dont know who designed this or how it even got past testing but at the minute when i move my mouse i get nothing but catching and tearing lumps out of my Goliathus.

Anyone buying one of these should note that while it looks the best on paper, Until Asus re-design the stick on mouse feet it is essentially crap on cloth surface. When i look online at the pictures of the mouse i thought i was getting there is no sign of any gaps.

Nah Asus give you replacement switches and replacement mouse feet. And i opened them and checked them against the teflon they stuck on and there is a gap.

I guess the reason is they wanted to give people a place to put a nail to get access to the screws which arelocated under the mouse feet. But it is really stupid to leave any gaps at all. It is settling in a little bit now but i can still feel it catching and tearing at times.

They just need to come out with a set of full sized Teflon feet it would probably take them a month to sort out.

I have no camera of note so i will use this, And you can see where the feet leave a gap and do not fully cover the imprint left for mouse feet. Maybe my teflon was cut rough and will smooth out over time once dust gets in.

But it was god awful for the first 1 hour. I would like them to release proper XL feet tbh. The way they left both cuts also means i get friction when i mouse up due to the bottom gap, And friction down with the top gap! Genius!

What mouse surface have you got?

Goliathus XL, The biggest & best imo it is normally so smooth and believe me i have been through many mouse mats to find the one i liked. The mouse is starting to settle in at least i can no longer hear tearing. And the poling rate and everything else is great.

I can confirm i have it working at 1500-2000hz on USB as well.

Just for the record: I have had a goliath mouse surface before and found that (after a fair amount of use) it gets rather scratchy due to the way the cloth material is woven.

Either way it sounds like your problems are resolving themselves.

I checked the mat and it is shredded to bits lol. Im going to have to order teflon tape and a new mouse mat now. So a word of warning to anyone buying this, Avoid cloth unless you want to be down £30 like me on a mat ruined, And another £30 to buy a new one.

:(

I wrote to Slamepad asking for a custom larger pad than they offered last time. I had one before and it is the only pad that came close to being smooth as the Golitahus. Maybe more so because it has no bumps yet has super slick glide. The only problem is the small size and it eats mouse feet. Im sure it and the Gladius will get on like a house on fire lol.
