Just bought my wife a new Coffee machine (Delonghi la specialista) but having a hard time getting it setup nicely. I've followed the guide, and several youtube videos but it's not making nice coffee. Can anyone give any advice?

I seem to have to set the grind size to be as fine as it will go before I can get a reading on the gauge into the optimal zone, and timing it it's still pulling the shot in under 20s. from everything I can tell this is way too fast. but can't work out how to slow it done, I can't grind it any finer.

I'm obviously doing something very wrong so any advice is greatly appreciated, ecpecially from someone with the same machine.

Thanks

Presumably you're tamping the coffee down before attaching the handle to the machine? You may need to tamp a bit harder, or buy a separate one to exert more pressure.
And as above, beanz in this case does not meanz heinz

Following are the main variables so more than just grind size to play with.

Grind size
Bean quality
Grind amount
Tamp pressure.
