Any benefit in adding another 6GB?

Thinking of getting a few upgrades this christmas for the Rig in my sig. and one of them is memory.

Will i see any benefit in going from 3x2GB to 6x2GB memory? The most intensive thing i do is play games. I've already decided to get an SSD and i might also get a GTX 580 depending on ATI launch.

What do you guys think?

Hi,

6GB More then enough, for Gaming even 4GB is spot on!

So no point to waste money on Ram, you won't notice any difference at all

When steam were selling Metro 2033 for £5 i was Tempted and looked at recommended Specs and it did say they recommended 8GB (I have 6GB) So i was thinking games are gonna start demanding more ram.

Those specs were definitely wrong!
I played Metro with 3GB on W7 and Vista, Games are still dependent on GPU more.

6GB is plenty, I think not much point any more for gaming at the moment.

Nah, just go SSD. Since you have now saved the price of the ram you were going to get, you can get an even better one
