yes, but depending on the resolutin it would be better to just get another 5770 for crossfire (assuming ur board) supports it, if u photoshop a lot, the build above shuld make things quicker tho

I'd definitely recommend doing this first. The 5770's scale extremely well when crossfired (performance similar to a 5870) & the P5Q Deluxe supports full 16x Crossfire. This will only cost around £130 leaving you about £300 to play with afterwards.

resolution is 1680 x 1050 gaming mostly so at this moment not a worthwhile upgrade?

As your main priority is gaming, this upgrade would see the greatest improvement in performance for your pc so I would say it is worthwile.

Thanks for the replys would it also be worth getting a quad just to make the system a bit quicker in general use

It's unnecessary blowing your money on those parts, imho. You should use the money for either another 5770 for crossfire, or selling your 5770, and instead buying a 5850 or 5870. Buy the Samsung F3 though, if you require it.

I think this would be a good idea, although some games are optimised for dual core. You can get hold of a Q6600 G0 relatively cheaply at the moment. I have a Q6600 G0 (at 3.2GHz) and a 5770, and they suit my gaming needs perfectly.

Will have a look round see what i can pick up quad wise,
need a bigger hd though.
graphics wise which option would offer a longer life? before needing to be upgraded?

If you buy another 5770, you don't have any upgrade options, apart from selling them both and buying a new card. If you buy a 5850 you have a similar performance level to two 5770's, but you could buy another 5850 at a later date for CrossFire. If you have the money, you could buy a 5870. Personally, I think it would be better to have a single 5850 than two 5770's.

prefer a single card so will look into that is any make better than the other always had nvidia prior to the 5770
