Any benifit to upgrading a motherboard

My current motherboard is a Gigabyte Z97 GA-Z97P-D3 is their any point of upgrading the mother board at all or would it just be a case of additional features

More features, and possibly better thermal design. More PCIe slots are always a plus; especially if it uses PLX. Also more stuff to tweak in BIOS is always a plus in my book. ASUS mobos are nice.

Only mSata and 16x - 8x crossfire are lacking on this board it has 16x 4x i believe ?

I guess by the time msata is cheap everything else has moved on too.

Not a fan of 2x pci slots instead of 1x and 1 extra pci-e x1 slot.

You cant beat it for the price if you never plan on using two cards and aren't bothered about mSata any time soon.

Can it overclock a 4690k 4790k well - check, all that matters really.
