Any better for £50?

Greets guys,

My father is looking at purchasing a graphics card that he can hopefully play mafia 2 with. Unfortunately, I'm thinking that he would need abit more than that to get a decent graphics card.

One I've looked at is the Palit GT240 512MB GDDR3. Would this be sufficient to run mafia 2, and is there any better graphics cards out there for =< £50.

Yeah, +1 for a second hand card like a 5770. Nothing brand new will do it justice really, unless you play at very low res and turn the settings down.

Thanks guys. I'll be looking at getting a 5770 for him. I did see a second hand one for £37 the other day but didn't want to comit until i got some feedback on other decent cards for such small budget.

New 5750 1GB for £48 somewhere or other...

4890s are quicker than 5770s and regularly go for <£50 second hand. A bit of an older card but still pretty good.
