Any Better phones than the W900i ?

Hi guys, has anyone got an alternative to a W900i?

I recieved mine as an upgrade, I wanted it in black and they sent me the poxy white version.

Not sure if I can keep it in the colour it is. So was wondering what alternatives there are to it.

Could you give me your reason why the white is better than the black one.
Or is it just personal choice?
 
black one feels too small and cramped for me

also im not too keen on the shinyness of the black one, white one does get dirty easily though
 
I'm thinking of getting this phone, gonna ring up Vodafone today to see what deal I can get.

Anyone know the starting price in order to get the phone free from them?
 
Hi, I got the phone free on the standard 200 minute price plan check online ti says the phone cost is £20 , but I told them i might try the store first and they gave me it for free!!! not a bad phone but it has issues seems firmware is buggy, anyone know how to update the firmware? official one though.

Oh and I got sky tv for 30 days, but to be honest the 3g signal is very sporadic.

Just ordered this phone today, First of all they offered it to me for £130 i was like HELL NO :mad:.

In the end was put through to a lovely speaking lady, Managed to get the phone for free with 300 Mins & 500 texts a month, i do text a lot last month sent 500+. All of that is £35 a month Result :)

I just hate it when they try and offer you the phone for £££ when in the end they will give it to you for free or £1-50. I couldnt even understand the first guy talked is some wierd northern accent :p
 
Carphone warehouse will give you the W900i free on a 12 month 500/500 £35 a month contract.
Well there were doing last week anyhow.
 
i'd say the new nokia 6280 beats this one, only because this is far too big.

give it a try, but wait till it gets on a better network than three, cheeky gits even have advertising on the front screen.

I'm with the carphone warehouse atm. They only have the white version in stock , which is the colour I dont want.

For some reason I gone right of Nokia's for the time being, just find them dull looking, hopefully my w900i should be with me today so will let you lot know what i think of it :)
 
Just recieved my W900i and WOW, looks and feels mint have 1 question.

How long do I have to charge it before I turn it on? I started to charge it at 12:00 will it be ok to turn it on at 16:00-17:00? :confused:

I'm sure it said somewhere on the leaflet you get with it to charge for for at least 2.5hrs
 
Yeah it says charge for 2-3 hours, I must say its the best phone I have ever had been playing with it non stop, there is so much stuff you can do with it. If anyone is looking to get a new phone then this is the one to get. :)

Seriously unimpressed! Back to my W800 I go and wait for the next generation of SE phones to arrive!

Having not used a W800 before I can't compare them. But will try and answer some of your points.

1 - TV/3G is amazing, been watching sky sports news on it since i have had it, really good picture and sound. Like you said it must be the 3G network in your area or something.
2 - No Lens cover is a good point, but not to fussed about it.
3 - Not used a w800 so cant comment.
4 - Dont use the radio just use my ipod, but that is quite poor that you cant save a radio station.
5 - Not had any crashing so far, I can understand having 1 crash but 3 is just **** poor, must be a faulty phone.
6 - I find it extremly fast for the amount of stuff it has to process.
7 - I think your correct on this, because i tried to send a video to a friends phone and it was not compatable which is a shame.

Shame you dont like it and I hope Vodafone take it back or at least replace it. Good luck mate :)
 
Well i've decided to keep the White one.
Had the S700 before this one and didnt really use all its features. Now I have upgraded and I like all its features, especially the fact that I can put around 7 full CD's on its internal memory :).
Battery seems to last as well.
Have also bought a black SkinCase for it.
