As per title really. I'm keen to see what this baby can do, and I like running seti but (probably due to the midweek outage) I can't seem to get any WU's at the mo.

So, are there any other boinc projects my 7970 can run?

Re Milkyway@Home:

They are having good luck running the Nvidia opencl client on the 7970 :D

Run Time is 52 secs with GPU set to 1125/1575, the max speed inside the driver, power slider is +5
Validates ok. GPU Temp is max 73 degrees, fan on auto, running 2 x 7970 in crossfire, 1090T CPU @3.6Ghz 16Gb DDR3 RAM @1600, no CPU apps running.
Nice stuff ATI hatdware running NVidia app via OpenCL. Suspect more speed to come with ATI OpenCL app. If additional voltage applied likely to go to 40-45 secs a WU I reckon.
Good start straight off the bat and no tweeking as such

It's interesting that even at this point the HD 7970 is running the NVidia optimized app at 3.5x faster than the top GTX580 card that I could find in the database. Pretty impressive and the HD 7970 also uses less power.

Exactly, but then it is using the Nvidia app :) Its got a new architecture for gpgpu stuff so hopefully once they have one to work on they can get it up to speed.

Just tested the updated OpenCL app 1.02 on a 7970 @ stock and am getting 45 seconds per WU running 1 at a time.

At 1125/1575 speeds it drops to 36s/WU running 1 at a time.

OK lets do this again

app_info.xml set to 1 WU at a time:
Stock - 45s/WU
OC - 36s/WU

app_info.xml set to 2 WU at a time
Stock - 2:35/2WU = 72s/WU
OC - 1:07/2WU = 33s/WU

Big difference in performance when doing 2 WU at a time if you overclock.

Gets hot tho, 91°C @ 60% fan speed

[edit] Dropped voltage to stock but kept overclock and temps dropped a good 10° and fan speed at 50% [/edit]

OK just checked the milkyway site and I'm getting valid results and 159.86 points credit per WU.

So lets see.

Worst case:
86400 seconds in a day, each WU takes 36 seconds = 2400 WU per day x 159.86 = 383,664 PPD from one card
