I wonder if there is any available as it would be great 4 of them with the AMD eyefinity or Nvidia Surround.

I'm planning to build a borderless Quad Monitor 3840x2160.

Thanks in advance,

How much are you expecting to spend? I expect when OLED monitors arrive borderless will become more normal but they don't have backlights and are supposed to look like pieces of digital paper. The bezel on an LCD is there for protection but also to keep everything together.

That is the problem, cheap 1920x1080 monitors are around £150 but they have borders. Maximum I would pay for a borderless monitor would be around £300 but that depends of the specs. It is just an idea. QuadHD monitors are around $50 ~ 70k. I'm just trying to find a work around with a cheap solution for the time being. I will have a read on OLED monitors. Thanks.

You could just make your own. Take a cheap monitor, remove the panel, cut down the border then attach the "width" edge back to the sides to keep out dust etc.

Wont look pretty from behind but will do the job.

Agreed. Or, if you're good with electronics, you could buy 3 panels, then sort the power and data connections out yourself... This would probably be better than buying 3 monitors, then stripping them down (you'd get a warranty on each individual piece for starters, so wouldn't immediately lose your warranty by stripping down monitors).

Amazing thought in there guys, I was really thinking about getting only the panels, only thing is find a company that can sell it to me. Any links as to whom would do?

Even if you do that, you are still going to have a border of about 30-40mm as the panels still have a bezel. The LG LM230WF1 panel which will be in quite a few monitors has bezel of 20mm left and right sides, and 21mm top and bottom.

If you really want minimized bezel, you will have to use one of the digital signage panels designed for video walls. The problem with this is that they are 46" or larger. Samsung do a 46" panel with 7.3mm bezel, but it is expensive.

The other problem you will have is the electronics. The monitor manufacturers mostly make their own electronics, and won't sell them separately. Companies that will supply a board kit, won't necessarily use the same components as the big brands, so the picture quality may not be as good.

You may also run in to issues with minimum order quantities when building your own, because I doubt there are many people who do this.

Sad. I was hoping there were borderless monitors available somewhere. So the only way to go is 4K monitors which cost around 50 to 70K US Dollars.

Thank guys. I hope to see some in the near future.

Do eyefinity/NVIDIA surround support flipping a part of the setup monitor upside down? If so then the LG DM92 with 1mm on 3 sides of the screen might be worth waiting for.

With a quad setup you could do something like (imagine the number 6 is displayed on every monitor)
Code:
+---+---+
| 9 | 9 |
+---+---+
| 6 | 6 |
+---+---+
It is a 27" monitor though.. so that would make for a rather big setup, might also be near impossible to find a stand for.. and that's all assuming those LG's will have a Vesa mounting option (which I somewhat doubt seeing how thin the screen is)
