Any cautions to buy a card from a sli setup?

Going from my previous thread, I didn't end up getting card, didn't have time for a shop to check if they still had the 570 and the others were either sold or nobody replying to their adverts , so instead I spent the money on RES7 for XB1 lol , but not selling my laptop yet I still have option to get a card, maybe at a few quid more than I was going to spend originally and so I have seen a pair of gtx 670s(msi on the fan) for £95 or £55 each and after reading about them, they much better than the 270x I had, better than a 760 and much better than the other cards I was looking at and given I don't play dx12 games or have any intentions to use win 10 again then this model should be more than ideal.

I just from my knowledge never purchased a card from a dual setup up before and to me it be like debating over the abuse from a mining setup in comparison.

I wouldn't worry, I don't think there's any more risk that they have been subjected to abuse, vs buying a single card. People will mine or fold on a single card too.

If they are an identical pair I'd say its more likely their primary function was gaming. As you can put any old things together for other stuff.

Plus 670's would be fairly hopeless at mining or folding these days anyway, but still OK for gaming

I think 670's and 760's are very nearly matched in terms of performance, but I'm surprised that it is better than a 270X.

If you mean has the card been abused like a mining card has, then the answer is absolutely not. Remember, mining cards are a risk because they run 100% load 24/7.

As far as the SLI cards go, the chances are that scaling in games restricted the cards to less than 99% use, even as low as 50% use. You may even find that the card you buy is the 2nd card and so didn't see any action in games that don't support SLI.

A card from a SLI setup is guaranteed to have seen less workload than a single card setup, let alone a mining setup.
