Any chance of a new Canon 70-200 f/4 IS?

Before I shell out a whole pile of cash on this beautiful lens, there's not much chance of it being superceded any time soon is there?

I only ask as its the same lens that has been around for yeeeeears without any sort of update, I'm hoping it is because you can't improve on perfection

I had the non IS version and that was a lovely lens! Haven't heard any rumours of a replacement though

Can't see it being replaced any time soon as there's nothing wrong with it. Basically an f/4 version of the f/2.8 Mk2 - stunning lens

its not unlikely, its impossible, as its basically a perfect lens. Buy and forget dude!
