Any chance of running Oblivion on my Intel 915?

Long shot......

Just installed Oblivion on my laptop in the hope of continuing my quests while away from home (damn this game is addictive!). Sadly, it's not a gaming laptop and has a built-in Intel 915 chipset for gfx.

Intel say no:

But dammit, there's got to be a way! (Well, I don't think there is, but you never know...).

Not a chance, sorry. The Oldblivion mod may be of some use, but I seriously doubt it'll help.

Yeh, I'm thinking the same.

It checks for hardware T&L on startup, so unless there's a patch / hack to disable that, it won't even start. It just bombs out with an error.

It's patched to the latest version too.



Damn, never gave it a thought - just assumed it would run, albeit in 640 x 480 on low or something.

As far as I know Oldblivion rips out all the complex shaders etc. the game uses, so you can run it on Geforce Ti graphics cards and the like, but I'm pretty sure you'll still need HWT&L to run it at all. Sorry mate.
