Any Cisco experts? Little help please

Hey mate,

Thanks, and replied to you! I find it much easier on real hardware, I did a lab exercise the other day that required pt to have a specific OS image on the routers and it doesn't. Fantastically useful. We don't have all the hardware though, apparently too expensive!

Yeah well the new version has SOOOOOO many more features than when I used years ago. Still, nothing beats real hardware as our emails should hopefully have shown. To be honest you could pick up some routers dead cheap on the bay and 2 switches. My original lab was 2 x 2900XLs and 4 x 2500 series routers. Cost about £100 all told. my current setup is a "little" bigger, still got 2 new routers on the way but nothing else fancy till i get my CCNP on the way

Hey,

The bay of e looks a good place to pick up cheap cisco hardware, and personally I like having the stuff infront of me to cable up properly and work on live hardware. I always find it helps learning more as if you mess it up, its not as easy as just deleting a device and clicking a new one again!

I've dropped you a mail to trust regarding cisco stuff. Thanks for your help.
