Any Classic Car owners here?

I used to own this beauty. Sold it a couple of months ago :(

Id regret selling that forever.

In the last few years values of some classics have rocketed, as people realise we're only getting overpriced boring stuff going forward. Instead of Autotrader they are going to car and classic.

I have mgb gt, Triumph Tr6 and Mercedes 450sl, all need restoration, hoping to start one of them soon, health willing.
Nice! My dad has an MGB GT too and a TR4A, I'd love a TR6 for myself. Something about them just looks right. We produce parts for TR Revington at work. They are the go-to place for triumph bits imo

A friend is just about to sell a TVR Chimeara 5.0. It shakes the house when started up (stock exhaust). Apparently very twitchy at high speed. Great looking though, no one makes anything like that anymore.

Nice. Convertible too. I've seriously considered an E30 but the 325's are getting pricey now and I really want to stick with the straight six.

Suddenly drawn to a Reliant Scimitar! Not really sure why. V6, and I think they look pretty mean especially the estate style (not soft top) seems really cheap too. I believe it's the same ford engine as a Capri?

Just bear in mind that just because they're fibreglass, rust/corrosion isn't ruled out :P

I have a soft spot for Scimitars, a friend had 2 when I was young and not into cars at all. Rare enough you get excited when you spot one. Quirky construction. British. :)

It's only taken me three years to get that far.

The car goes in for welding this month (chassis and battery tray area on both sides. The engine is half way through a full rebuild as well.

I've got a classic mini in the garage which i need shot off if you want

My dad has lots of old vehicles but the oldest i've had is a 1996 Impreza, still felt quite modern really so i wouldn't class that as a classic but the mini is 1998 and feels like it's out of the ark so i would class that as a classic
I'll take it off your hands :)

I've got a 996 911 in the garage, it's R-Reg (1998) and registered as a classic vehicle - it doesn't feel like a classic car though. Air con, traction control, LSD, ABS, cruise control, 300bhp and it's even got an Android auto wireless headunit. Driving it feels very similar to my much much newer vRS. Makes me feel old thinking about it...
