do not know if i have posted the wrong thread? I have bought a smart card reader, but i can not stream the video in my card smoothly via my iPad, any clue? is that something normal or quality issue?

two limiting factors to streaming from the card

read speed of the card and whether your connector is usb2 or usb3.

from memory usb 2 limits you to 60Mb/s but i find all my cards, even my 120Mb/s card maxes out at 20Mb/s on usb 2.

I believe lightning connectors are only usb2 unless connector to a mac usb 3 port.

And also not every card reader is equal. It would appear in this roundup from a few years ago, the better card readers are up to 5 times faster than the worse ones.

I've just bought the Kingston USB 3.0 Hi-Speed Media Reader. Gets great reviews everywhere with cards almost maxing out at their top speeds when connected via sub 3.

Will let you know how it performs when it lands

I have the Kingston USB3 reader. It is great. Really fast over USB3 and doesn't seem to be fazed at all by multiple cards etc which have caused previous ones to crash in my experience.
