I have a set of collectable Beavis & Butthead comics which I acquired a while ago. I have issues 1 (Mar 1994) to 20 (Oct 1995) and all are in pristine condition. They're packed in 5 plastic holders, with 4 in each holder.

What I want to know is roughly how much would they be worth? I was thinking of sticking them on eBay but I don't want to let them go for a song and I don't want to set my reserve too high. Does anyone have any idea what this set might be worth?

Thanks

In my experience the ones I poured a fortune into when I was a kid have inflated by about 5p since, going by ebay's 'sold items' prices :(

I think you'll be disappointed with what you may get for them. I know I was when I tried to sell some X-Men comics from years ago in absolute mint condition.

How much were they originally? Add £2 to each comic and then you'll be looking at a realistic price. :( Unless you find someone who really needs them to complete his collection and you may have a bidding war. :)

Edit: Scrap that, didn't realise you had 20 comics, yep £50 would probably be the price to aim for if selling them as a lot. If not, the first 5 should fetch a bit more than the rest.

The price on the front is $1.95 US which would make them roughly about £1.50 each by the time they came over here I reckon. Round that up to £3 a comic and that equates to £60. If I set a reserve of £50 do you reckon they'd get above it?

I seriously doubt it.

I wanted to know how much a complete set of Ultimate Spiderman would cost from 1-90 or so then realised I was rich until someone sat on them. :(

What he said ^^^

Set your reserve at the minimum you'd be prepared to accept for them, maybe £30?

I suppose I could give it a shot at £30 and see how it goes. I wouldn't want them to go for any less though.

Welcome back by the way :)

Might want to check on here: http://www.comicspriceguide.com/

I recently sold my Wolverine Origin set for £35. I knew all 6 sold for about that much but I'd recently see the same lot go for over £50.

As stated minimum reserve is £50 , but just list your starting price as £30.

All depends how rare they actually are, and weather those 20 make a complete run can effect it too. Comic prices are crazy, I have paid silly money for a issue to complete a run before

I sold a load of B+B comics on eBay a long while ago, including some of the early ones (1,2,3 etc) - unfortunately I cannot remember how much I got, and eBay has purged the listings now.

I don't think I got a lot - a couple of quid each or something. You may make more by splitting them all out as people need certain ones only to complete their collection.

Either way I would get boards and bags for each one, they shouldn't really be in contact with each other to keep them in pristine condition.
