My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £1,364.00 (includes shipping: £14.10)

I already have a 1070gtx to go in there... any suggestions on changes?

I am going for an inverted case as I need the window on the opposite side to normal, and there isn't a huge amount of choice!

The motherboard comes bundled with the following cooler:

COOLER MASTER MASTERLIQUID LITE 240

Thanks guys

I was thinking futureproofing, as I tend to keep my rig for 6-8 years and only upgrade the GPU on occasion, so if at some point I decide to go SLI with a couple of 1480gtx's or whatever they might be called in 4 years time, I shouldn't have an issue with power

The Crucial MX300 is £30 cheaper for the 1TB version.

Not sure how good the bundled cooler is, especially if you are going to overclock, but it is worth trying it as it is free.

Apart from.the PSU being strong. Seems solid. In theory an i5 8400 would be a nice saver if your gaming at 1440p .
Aorus 7 has best in class audio and I think you still get a free 240mm AIO

Would rate cooler master better then asetek stuff, specially then first 5 gens but yeah, is the basic model there .

If you've got the cash for it, Samsung SSDs, if you need to save cash then as mentioned above . Samsung do make damn good ssds and controllers but you pay for it

Cost isn't too much of an issue, within reason. I'll stick with the Samsung if it's only a cost benefit.

I'm gaming at 4K at the moment, its a couch setup with a 65" UHD tv. Will be going SLI at some point to help it along with the more demanding games.

I will be overclocking, am I ok to stick with the bundled cooler or are there better alternatives?

I suppose i'll need some thermal compound actually... am I best going with AS5 or MX-4?

I noticed you mentioned the audio, I currently have an Asus Xonar Essence STX soundcard installed, should I just bin that now, is the onboard a lot better?

I think your second card still tops it, but worth researching the DAC and sound chip to see how far boards have come .
Can always test both anyways :) got nothing to lose at all :)
If you prefer the onboard then could always sell, or if not, it stays in the system - and your use to it
