any comparisons of a clock for clock SB vs bloomfield?

as above guys. how much faster is the sandybridge against a i5 760 or a i7 920 at the same clock speed?

im having trouble finding any info.
 
Your current system is fine though, i doubt you would see a huge amount of difference.

Up to you really though, im upgrading, but from an E6600 system.

i know i wont. i just enjoy building systems and the uefi bios interests me.

i think weve got to a stage now where cpus are becoming too powerful. unless you are rendering, encoding etc there is very little justification for having much faster than a q6600 imo.

When playing gta4 liberty city episodes, sometimes my Q6600 usage goes around 80-90% on all 4 cores. I don't know whether it is due to good/bad optimisation or not for pc. I think speedwise the cpus are fine but it just that more cores may well be needed in near future for gaming.

i personaly think bad optimization, consoles are really holding pc gaming back.

no need for sandy bridge unless you like rendering.
