Any config tweaks for car handling in NFS Shift?

I love the game, but not the handling. It feels as if the center of the car is on a pivot. Is there any good config tweaks that make it more like GTR2 or a proper sim?

In answer your questions, no, there isn't any config files, but there are some settings you can change to make it more realistic, the link is:

Steering Dead Zone-15%
Accel Dead Zone-10%
Brake Dead Zone-10%
Steering sensitivity-5%
Acell Sensitivity -5%
Brake sensitivity-5%
Speed steering Sensitivity 100%

These are the settings I used and they definately give the car a sim feeling, even in a mental gallardo ;)

No, it's nothing to do with Steam at all, unpacking is purely down to how they store the games files and making them easier to modify and thus easier to create mods and such like.

It's something you'd need to do with any version of the game you got and it won't mean you no longer need Steam installed.

I tried all those, but it doesn't change the psychics of the car handling, and that's what i'm after really. I would love to get this game feeling like GTR2

No. What you are asking for is too much of a fundamental change - tweaking would not be enough.

Its like saying 'Is there any tweak so I could change the levels in Batman Arkham Asylum so there arn't as many corridors ' :/

Well, after trying the overhaul mod, i can say 'not bad' Combined with the suggested wheel settings in the readme file, its a damn site better than before. The annoying powersliding and tyre screeching is still there, and at certain points on track, i do reckon a real life car would be much more stable and less 'jumpy' at high speed.

As for me asking too much, i agree that making in-game adjustments isn't enough, but the overhaul mod has changed the way the game plays, so it can be tweaked IMO.
