Ok, how can I put this?

Whenever I try to use a poystick or a joypad of ANY kind, and I try playing any FPS game, like Doom, Quake, UnReal, UnReal Tourney, COD or BattleField ( ANY Versions of them ), the character slowly drops their head and so I am constantly having to move the mouse to keep my character looking ahead and not staring at the floor!

At first, I thought it was the controler, but its doing it on every controler I put onto the PC.

It does NOT do it, if I am just using Keyboard and Mouse though, but it does do it as soon as I conect the controler and use that.

Now, recently, I have tried to use Steering wheels and I bought a G29 and G27 GearShifter, and they are doing the same thing... Sort of moving down.

For example, in WRC6, in any of the options on the screen, its cycling through them as if I am holding a down button or in the case of that game, I can sort of balance on the clutch to stop it going down, but its a tricky thing to do.

This does it no matter what USB port I use, or, if I use a Port on a USB Card, I have tried USB 2 and 3 and they do the same thing.

Anyone have any ideas other than to reinstall Windows?

Oh hell, I have not actually tried it on any other PC so maybe I should first...

Try another computer? Check HID devices in device manager and remove them all (Windows will reinstall those that are plugged in). Not running any key binding software? Unplugged mouse and keyboard and only plugged in controller? Installed xpadder to see if it's showing button pressed/joystick movement in it's calibration?

Loads of things could be happening, so lots of things to try.

Maybe there's a control panel in Windows 10 where you can do a calibration? I dunno.

I dont either. Its a real pain if Im honest.

The other computer I will be doing shortly... I am moving home any time soon ( Just waiting for the paperwork to finalise ) and I am planning on setting upa PC purely for car racing games and it will be running Win7, and so I have a setup ready for it and I will be installing it in a bit... I think a fresh install on a completely dofferent PB and O/S will eliminate a fair load of possibles right off the bat.
Removing Device = already been through that area. Even removed old devices that are not connected. and its not made any difference!

Only having the one device = also tried, nothing doin' in that either?

xpadder - No, I will have a see there.

How annoying, hope you get to the bottom of it.

ME to, but I have had these issues for a long time, its just that most of the time, I dont really play many games that are affected anymore!

I have little use of my left hand and I cannot play FPS games anymore and I dont like Racong games, its just that Im trying to force myself to like them cos I can play them even with my knackered hand, but I mostly only play Dawn of War or Snooker or Pool... Games that only really need the mouse and one button here and there.

So its been an issue for a long time, its just that I can ignore it fori months on end.

Its now starting to eat at me though cos I just spent out on a Logitech G29 Wheel and Pedals and a G27 Shifter and a ton of games that only a small few actually bloody work on the thing, so I want to get some games to run as well as I can obviously.

There's a calibration option in Windows 10 for controllers and gamepads. If you hit start and type 'game', it should give the option to 'setup USB game controllers'. In there there's a tab for calibration.

Might be worth a go, and I hope it works :)

Dunno I've got a sinking feeling....

OP are you trying each of your peripherals one at a time? Possibly one controller is sending a continuous downward signal. Unlikely your issue is anything other than a single un calibrated device.
