I am after a new pc as mine has now died

I do a bit of gaming and movie encoding and my budget is as per title.

Any decent offers on at the minute to get the most for my cash?!

I have seen:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/ocuk...i5-6400-gtx-960-4gb-windows-10-fs-17i-ep.html

No self-build and require a fitted CD/DVD drive.

I have seen a couple on other sites, but would obviously prefer to buy from here (customer service etc).

Also, looking in the clearance section there a couple of good deals, but all out of stock - anymore coming in very soon?!

The only game i play atm is L4D2! (i'm into VR on my Gear and waiting for my delivery of PSVR - i have no interest in PC VR.

However, i would like a decent system, obviously the best i can get for my cash.

If you only play L4D2 then that system is enough tbf unless you want to start getting into more intensive games a GPU upgrade might be worth it depending on what your current one is.

My system is dead :( Hence i am after a new one.

Okay so you'd probably want a i5 6xxx with 16GB RAM and say either a GTX 1060 or RX 480 for 1080p gaming. If it was me I'd build it myself just to save a ton of money.

I'd call the shop. If you only play games like L4D I'd probably go with a APU and spend the money saved on the storage system and maybe a BD drive. A FreeSync monitor might be worth considering too.

I know i say i only play L4D2, but that's only atm - when i get time i will start getting back into pc gaming - so i'm happy to get a half decent system now (especially as i suck at upgrading).

OK, so the one Doogles put up would suit me would it? (thank you).

I am now looking for a system for my lad, CS GO, TF2 etc and around £400 - i would like a decent looking case as it will be his first desktop (he does everything on laptop atm).

Do you think OcUK would do me a deal if i got 2 systems from them? ;) Or should i wait nearer to Xmas for any deals?!

I'm struggling and it's a lot of cash to me - i need to get this right :(

Thanks all.

If you are struggling for cash just get a parts and throw em together yourself, plenty of people here and on other forums will help you, it's getting the right parts for the job that is the hardest putting it together is a doddle.
