Since every ISP has started throttling etc I've been trying to find one with a decent limit for a reasonable price of ~£25 p/m.

Just tried Be and they are a pile of crap, was perfect the first month I joined but now they say they can't make my line stable at >1.5mb :/

So now I'm looking for a reliable ISP that has 50gb+ cap, <£25p/m and a short min contract.

I checked adslguide but I can't seem to find any decent recommendations...(AOL seems to be mentioned a lot )

Cable if it's available but if not, go for Nildram. It's £26 a month, has a 1 month contract, 50GB a month cap during peak hours and unlimited off-peak. Any unused peak usage allowance gets rolled over too.

I've got cable and ADSL but my ADSL is with Nildram and I've had no issues with it.

Also with Nildram on DSL Surf £22.99 a month, no problems at all :) 50Gb is more than enough especially with the off-peak unlimited 12am - 8am everyday :)

BeatMaster :D

I believe you can still get Bulldog through their website, I know most wouldn't class them as a 'decent' company but after a year with them I am a very happy customer.

Bulldog is completely unlimited/unshaped up to 16MB.

My usage is obscene, close to 700GB in a month before and averaged at least 500GB a while back. Cut it down a bit now, service has always been A1 - only one outtage in a year and that was only for about four hours.

i reccomend nildram,

been with them about year and a half / 2 years, not one single problem!!

nice and fast too :)

On AOL here (1mb silver), no caps, no shaping, no FUP, 100% unlimited, £9.99 a month and i always get my full speeds whatever time of the day, or night i download, i really don't understand why ppl seem its leet to slate AOL, if you don't slate AOL your not cool, and its from those who have never used em, must admit i was one of em, but i migrated to em couple of months ago, and could'nt be happier. :)

I don't even use their software either.

the main problem with aol users is that a lot of them do not know how to connect without using the aol spyware, sorry software and so think they are crap
