Any decent LANs near Newcastle?

My brother is heavily into Counterstrike but hasn't been to a LAN, was wondering if there is anywhere to go around here and if anyone can recommend?

There's always www.BadLanRising.com , although I doubt there will be one until October this year. It's in Middlesborough, and I organised(badly) the CS tourneys for the last one.

I used to hold one in Boldon, Tyne and Wear at the Holiday Hotel..
Used to rent out a room and just get a few ppl along.. pay a couple of £ each to cover the cost of the suite and then get on with the fraggin..

U should see if you can get a few ppl interested.. I'd be game!

lived in boro all my life, and never knew of a lan event until a few months back when nokkonwud told me about it heh
