Hi,

I'm on the lookout for a new tablet as my Galaxy Tab pro is feeling it's age a little. I've looked around and am not prepared to invest in another android tablet as there are far too few to choose from, and represent poor value in my opinion.

So, looking to a windows tablet instead. I've had Windows tablets in the past so I know what they're like as a touch device, but I think they're the best option for me now. Problem is, most of them seem to be 12" + or very bulky & heavy. Does anyone know of any decent ones that still perform well, 4gb RAM seems the minimum to me. We've got a Lenovo convertible at home, and it's painful with only 2gb.

Any options? Happy with cheap Chinese ones of that's what it comes to!

You will love the samsung tab pro s ...
I had one for a bit but there was a keyboard problem so sent it back and well ... going to the states soon so getting it there for a bit cheaper :)

I had been waiting for a laptop like this forever ... and have been studying the market etc ...
basically 3 options for Very light and tablet like
samsung tab pro s
huawei matebook
asus transformer 3

check out this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8dfVZncFZQ
the matebook isnt out here in the UK yet ... tab pro s is.
I agree with the reviewer about the keyboard and trackpad on the samsung. If you can get over that the samsung is better.

screen/battery life > keyboard/trackpad IMO ...

one issue I had with mine is battery saving. Meaning if you just close the lid the computer is still on and wears the battery so got to check on that to make sure it saves battery.

oh I should say Im really looking forward to the transformer 3 due out late 2016/early 2017

I've got a Lenovo X1 Tablet. Very nice piece of kit with a good few optional add-ons to be had. My main issue would be the price, compared to those listed above it's quite expensive. The one I have is fully loaded with all the options and would probably be heading upwards of £2k. (works well with the Lenovo Pocket Projector and miracast!)

It's sometimes good to be a large account and getting freebies!

I have the Tab Pro S. I was torn between this and the Huawei Matebook. If you are not a power user than the Tab Pro S is an excellent choice because of the keyboard which is included in the package.

Another to consider is the Dell XPS 12

dell venue 11 pro with 5y71 processor pretty good plus you can get extra battery keyboard and dock for it.
