Any Dishwasher Engineers on here?

Not a dishwasher weeb but I've had mine apart in various ways. Can you expand on exactly what you mean when you say absolutely no signs of life at all? I presume you've diagnosed power delivery aka socket, the cable, both ends and fuse.

Does the on/off switch feel like it’s functioning properly? That would be my first consideration for trouble shooting.

Also, have you tried the age old turn off, wait a couple of minutes, then turn on again? Perhaps even unplug for a minute if that’s possible

Yeah, had it in bits now. There's a main board inside a looms goes upto the control panel in the door. There's 13v at the switch...the switch works but nothing comes alive. The borad looks fine, power getting into the big capacitor. That charges upto 350v.

It needs somebody that knows unfortunately.

Sounding like it. Could be a whole range of things on the PCB

Sorry for the lack of updates. Had “a man” round today to attempt a fix. I went through it all with him. Every wire checks out, no sign of damage anywhere, the 2 boards all look fine.

New dishwasher arriving on Tuesday.

Happy Christmas wife. Sigh.

How it started.

How it’s going.

So. Because I’m special I have tall kitchen units. These mean I need a taller dishwasher. Luckily Siemens / Bosch / Neff sell 85cm tall dishwashers. Not many people sell them but luckily John Lewis do*. I decided to go for the Siemens SX73HX10VG. Goto their site and search for that exact one and you’ll get one result. Buy it. Delivered. Happy wife happy like etc.

So I get home today, cut open. Start fitting etc. slide it into the gap. It’s too small. About 5cm too short. Fml.

Check computer, goto John Lewis. Autocomplete shows my previous search with the correct model number. However this time I’m paying more attention to the single result is for a SN73HX10VG.

Return arranged, collection on Friday. £30 charge that I’m going to try and argue.

3rd one ordered, due to be delivered on Thursday. So I’ll have three dishwashers onsite.

Kill me.

*They don’t.
