Hey everyone,

Wasn't sure where this thread belonged, so apologies if you feel it'd be better off elsewhere.

I was curious to know if there are any adapters that I could use to plug my PC into a television with a HDMI 2.0 port and achieve 60hz 4k? I have 2 290xs, so I'm not exactly considering upgrading any time soon to a GPU with HDMI 2.0 output, so I was wondering if there's anything that can convert my DP output to HDMI 2.0?

Thanks in advance,

Chris.

Last time I checked there were none (even the ones that mention it don't actually do 60Hz at 4K) - IIRC you'd need an active adapter (if one even existed) as well which wouldn't be at all cheap.

Hmm, thanks a lot. Yeah, a quick google search didn't turn up too much recent information, and even things which claim to convert it still seem only to do 30hz... may as well just use a HDMI cable in that case :/

There is one coming soon q2 of 2015, I have to 2x r295x2 in my rig and a 79" 4k tv and I can't wait to play gta on it. Don't get one of the other cables that only do 30hz like I did it's just not worth it.
