Any DS handhelp out due out with a HD screen?

Really hate Nintendo for always going cheap with everything they do!!!

Is there any plans for a HD handheld, 3DS XL HD maybe?

Doubt it, the extra screen size on the 3DS XL makes certain games look terrible, any higher resolution would be even worse.

A higher resolution would fix the problem. The issue with the XL is that the screen size is bigger whilst remaining at the same resolution, thus lowering the pixel density and as a result lowering the picture quality.

A HD version of the DS would essentially be a new handheld altogether as, to render in a higher resolution, you would need better hardware and new games coded to run at that higher resolution.

So, in answer to the ops question, no, not until the next DS comes out at the earliest.
