My shower isnt working, now its down to the power bit of it all.

keeps turning off every few seconds cutting power to the shower. sometimes i am able to turn it on then turn the shower on but it cuts off instantly after that

I only unscrewed it off to have a look inside. and it worked for a little while but now has just stopped.

anyone know whats up with it ?

Aren't showers on an isolated circuit?

Common sense would make me check the consumer unit for faults and check the circuit is complete and properly ground. I think there is another safety unit (forgot name) which is used if you have an old consumer unit, which could be faulty. Could be a problem with the switch you've opened.
Could be a faulty electric shower?

Faulty pull cord switch. I've replaced hundreds of these in peoples houses. Can be a bit fiddly to replace if the wires are short, but otherwise straight forward Just buy another from an electrical store.

Do this, but don't forget to turn it all off at the fuse box!
