Any epic games to get

Anyone reccomend any true quality games that you can just tell when they made it how much effort went into it, like half life 2 and more recently, i just got mass effect 2, which just by the first hour i can tell how great it is.

I'm currently playing Batman Arkham Asylum and really enjoying it. The graphics are fantastic, it has a good storyline so far, and I enjoy the gameplay. Considering I picked the GOTY edition up for £10 I'm well impressed with it! Highly reccomended!
