I need to insert a Gantt chart I've created in Excel, into a word document. It's pretty large, so needs to be scrollable / navigatable when viewed in the document. Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so, how it's done? Been trying to figure it out for bloomin ages.

Cheers:)

assuming this isn't for printing, then you could insert a larger page into the word document (like a1) to use for the gantt chart

tbh i'd suggest it might be better to look at something else, like splitting the chart up into smaller date range.

if it's for university could you not simply talk to the lecturer and see if they'd accept an excel copy of the chart to accompany the report?

Unfortunately, it can only be handed in as one Word doc with no attachments. I might try splitting it up. I've tried importing it as per the instructions provided by @dirtychinchilla (great name btw), but the clickable link to expand the spreadsheet looks poorly formatted and can't be edited. It appears as one long bar.

I believe that if you insert a section break, the subsequent sheet may be changed to say A3 or larger, which might allow the chart to fit.

When you say Gantt chart, have you done it properly? As in made a side on stacked bar chart with the first bar as the start dates that are hidden with the duration in days left visible, or have you done it the noob way and just coloured in cells? If the former it is fairly easy to insert a graph to a word document.
