any experiance or advice on my i5 set up (overclocking)

hey guys!

i recently brought an i5 2500k along with thins motherboard

how am i looking when it comes to overclocking? from what i read of the i5 2500k in reviews it seemed to have really good potential in this area!

any one had any experiance with this cpu and board? ive not o/c'd before so will do a lot of research first! i did try the search feature but nothing came up for my question

Go into the BIOS at start up and look for this,

Then pick the lowest speed, run prime95 to stress the system or Intel burntest.

You can watch the core speed with CPU-Z also at the same time and also run Realtemp to monitor temperatures of the four cores.
 
Well thats a simple method using Turbo boost, so it will throttle back (CPU-Z will show this) when it doesn't need the speed (saves electricity) that 4GHz setting will last forever.

Then when your feeling more brave select the next speed and test again that the system is stable. Run Prime95 for plenty of hours and run Burntest multiple times and stress settings.
