Any experience with refurbs?

Bought myself a refurbished iMac 24" from the Apple Store (Ireland) which may arrive on Monday. (And 4Gb of memory elsewhere for it)

Seems most people are happy with the quality of refurbs so I'm hoping I don't get one with a huge dent or loads of scratches on it

Anyone had good experiences buying things this way?

Sigh....my iMac never arrived

It was scheduled to arrive today. The UPS tracking said:

"12/31/07 04:30 am
In-transit Scan
Dublin, IE"

So it should have arrived today, but later it changed to:

"12/31/07 02:20 pm
Receiver Elected To Keep Package
Dublin, IE"

What?


Then it was followed by an equally odd:

" 12/31/07 03:09 pm
Driver Load
Dublin, IE"



Now it's scheduled to arrived on the 7th of January. Damn.

It arrived!

Looks perfect to me, no scratches or anything. It came with Tiger installed and had a Leopard "drop-in" disc. I did an Erase & Install and have Leopard running on it now.

One snag though, it was supposed to have come with iLife 08 and there's no sign of it
