Hi,

Just looking for any comments / improvements on this lot as I will be
ordering it later today.

E6600
Bad Axe 2
Crucial 10th anni.
Tuniq Tower
Corsair 620w
250gb Seagate 7200.10

I am leaving the graphics till later and depending on reviews will be a
shiny new R600 or a 8800GTX.

(I can "borrow" a 7600gt to test it in the meantime)

I have already bought the Case,X-fi,drives and a 74gb raptor for o/s and
games.

Just going to take my time and enjoy building it as I will still have my dell
p4 3.0 / 850xtpe set up.

Finally what kind of performance increase am I likely to get from it.

To be honest apart from the processor the rest of your proposal just seems to cut corners and the downside will be bottlenecks all over the place therefor making your system slow and you'll be dissapointed even though you'll have a E6600 and possibly 8800GTX
 
what items inparticular do you you think are cutting corners and will cause his 'bottlenecks'?the bad axe is an awesome board and very very stable and a very good overclocker for a 975x chipset.the ram is also of good quality and should be a very good match for the proposed setup running at a good speed.i fail to see the issue with his set up!

your not dont worry!!!some people eh,you cant please all but its your system not theirs.they are all good parts and will make a great setup..go for it. :p

Thanks for the Feedback,

All ordered should be with me this week. :D

This will be my 1st attempt at overclocking so no doubt I will be posting
looking for help. :eek:

Again thanks to everyone that took the time to reply to my various posts
whilst researching all of the above spec.

I,m missing the thread here! what is wrong with this sysyem ? seems like a great deal to me ,maybe i,m on dope or i,m Neil Armstrong ? because i can,t see anything bad about it ,great CPU ,Great Motherboard,memory is top draw,HF is top class and great HDD make ..nope i,m now going to bang my head to see if i,m missing the link lol // :eek:
