My living room is about 22m/sq and I’m trying to research flooring options. I have a dog with arthritis so slipping is an issue but I really don’t want to get carpet and a lot of people have recommended luxury vinyl plank because you can get non-slip varieties and I’m wondering if anyone here has experience of this kind of thing?

Also, would anyone a rough guess on the cost of removing the current flooring (sea grass, weird stuff) and installing vinyl plank?

Thanks.

fyi I have laminate which has a textured wood-like surface, as a result it isn't slippery, so that's an option to consider. Doing a bit of math I think that'd be about £1.5-2k for your room.

I dont know about "non slippy" it's effectively a coated plastic.

It'll depend what you choose but supply can be 30 to 70 quid a square metre and fitting I'd hazard a guess 30 to 50 a square metre.

Had the same issue with an oldie dog who recently passed away. We just bought some carpet runners to put down to help her. Did the job.
