Ive just got a quick question about games trade in guarantee where they'll beat any high street retailer by a quid.
Now the confusion starts when I think about trading in multiple items at once as im sure ive been given the extra quid for each applicable item I traded in but my brother has just told me that he only got the extra pound once when he traded in multiple games.

Im just wondering if their policies have changed since they had a reshuffle during their problems.

If nobody knows, ill update here tomorrow as ill be giving them a call about it

I got them to beat CEX on Saturday and they added £1 per game, so I can confirm it's still the case. :)

I work there and as far as im aware they will beat another store by £1 per game. If GAME give the same price or better then you get nothing extra for that title.

If policy has changed now then you will still get an extra £1 :) or 10 transactions lol

And the other store has to be within a certain distance from game for it to work. Maybe a mile or something like that. Im sure its all stated on their website.

The policy has recently changed, it should be £1 per trade-in now not per game.

That makes sense. So instead of trading all your games in at once, you spend 45 mins at the till trading in 10 games separately, wasting their time and yours, making other customers wait, and potentially leave, all for the sake of the company saving a few quid... :p

They refused to price match cex when I traded in my ps3 despite having a massive sign up about not being beaten on trade in prices. I asked the bloke how he could refuse when he they were advertising it and he said 'I'm no gonna do it if I can't make money'.

Yeah it is a bit daft, but what can you do? Some stores will still do it all at once but the policy is £1 per transaction now.

The aim is to offer better trade-in prices than anywhere else, the problem here would be that you would have been getting more money for the PS3 than GAME would have sold it for.

E.G CEX Offer £130 but GAME sell it for £129.99, no profit = no price match, they should have this displayed in small print somewhere, they normally do.

Yeah that was the case. They sold it for the amount cex were offering. However their slogan or whatever is "we won't be beaten on trade in prices".
