The event also features a knob eating contest, knob darts and a knob-a-thon

Last year's longest throw was by Dave Morrison, who tossed his knob 21.8m (71ft).

The knob eating contest started in 2012 and that year's winner Stuart Lambert still holds the record.
"He managed 14 in the one minute time limit - he was stuffing two knobs in at a time though," Mr Collins said.

Lots of knobs:

I can see a lot coming to this event... and enjoying tasty Dorset knobs.

I escaped from Dorset into Hampshire.

But then I visited a friend in Overton, who was getting really excited about the village's big annual event- a duck race in the village river.

Not sure if I want to go back to Dorset or stay now.

I wonder if any of the ladies would like a big old crusty one to practice on?

I knew a girl from Dorset once who said she was an expert knob gobbler, I'm sure she was gluten intolerant though...
