Any goldsmiths on here ?

Wife has been to jewelers today and had her wedding ring cut off - Due to lockdown he couldn't do anything else so she bought it home.
Does anyone know how much it would cost to have a piece put in and resized - It's 22ct
I know how long a piece of string is so are we talking £100 £500 £1000.

This is just to see if it is worth doing or tell her to buy a new ring.

Unfortunately the wife has the start of arthritis in knuckles and that was problem plus her finger is slightly thicker than it was so it had to come off - I doubt if anything other than chopping her finger off at the knuckle would have done it.
At the start of July when the Goldsmith returns to work she will take it back and see how much it will cost - The jeweler said if you have it expanded it will be expensive - I immediately thought £500 but looking on line at ring prices and repairs it doesn't seem to be as expensive as I thought.
Will just have to wait and see.
I never occurred to me that ring would get anyone going - young minds for you.
