I've currently got a 24" 1080p monitor but I feel my 980Ti is being wasted. I'd love a decent 1440 monitor 27"

What's the "real world" difference between TN and IPS monitors?? I'm not overly clued up on monitors :/

If you don't mind 25" the Dell U2515H is amazing for the money.

I've got a 24" screen just now. I fancy bigger real estate. 27" at 1440 is a sweet spot so I can gather from reading about it....or someone tell me different if it isn't?

TN = faster response time, less motion blur, worse colour quality, worse viewing angles
IPS = better colours, better viewing angles, worse response time, more motion blur

I got my AOC one for well under £300 but seems to be out of stock at the moment. It's good but there is a small amount of input lag so not suitable for fast paced competitive games. Great for more cinematic games though.

I play everything from football manager to BF1 to Skyrim...if and when I get time away from the two boys ;)

I have a 980ti and got the Dell S2716DG.

So far i love the monitor, no issues and looks amazing.

I would recommend this monitor 10/10.

The 980ti handles 1440p nicely and with the Gsync tops it off.

looks good, but at £600 it's twice my budget lol...

ok whats' the better option then

27" 1440 res screen, or a 27" 1080p 144Hz screen?

what is more beneficial the better resolution of 1440 or the faster refresh rate of 144? I'm a bit confused :/

I'm currently on a 24inch 1920 x 1080 and I'm wanting to go to 27inch 1440 screen. I'm hoping it'll be noticeable

There's no right or wrong answer here. Will depend on you.

Do you value IQ or performance more?

I dont know man. I went from a 24" 16:10 to a 27" 16:9 and it was glorious. It's only 3", but since you're usually seated at a desk quite close to the monitor, it can make a significant difference.

I could never go back to a smaller monitor again.

IQ?? I play a variety of games but I guess the reaction times for FPS games are preferable if that makes any difference

I'm looking at this one, thoughts on it? Pros and cons?????
