Any good at Python?

Hey guys, I teach in a school and we have a Python controlled assessment that we are looking at and wanted to get some ideas at how you would solve a problem.
Are there any competent python programmers on here? My skills are pretty basic and I have managed to solve the tasks but would appreciate a fresh set of eyes on the task itself!
