Ok, so I'm trying more and more to move away from Pasta and onto Rice. However I'm starting to get a bit bored with my basic Rice dishes, that are pretty much Pasta dishes with rice instead (not so good xD)

So what would people recommend as possible options?

Anything that I could put fish into would be a plus.

I have tried rice cakes before, but they didn't work out too well. That being said, if there's any particularly good dishes that people recommend I'd be willing to try them.

I've had quite a lot of success with stuffed peppers.

I say Chinese/Asian in the title rather than Indian curries or the such like, because I must prefer Chinese cuisine to Indian cuisine :)

I'm also willing to try stuff with CousCous, although I'm not too sure, as it was always annoyingly small when I've eaten it in the past.

This stuff is godly. The only thing I do different to that recipe is only half-beat the eggs before pouring them in. You may not think it looks particularly great but it tastes awesome. You have to buy soy sauce/mirin and stuff, but these are used in like 80% of Japanese cooking so you can always find other recipes.

I actually tried something very similar to this this evening! Kind of just grabbed what was lying around and went with it.. Problem was I didn't use a couple of the more balanced items in that recipe that might have made the taste a bit more rounded.

Definitely try it again. I had it for the first time in Canada about 2 years ago when my girlfriend made it for me. When she was pouring over the raw egg my friend and I were like "I hope we dont have to eat it", but I was actually made to eat my words.

If I could find a way to just fit in the words ".... but I couldn't eat a whole one." I'd be very happy :-D

But other than that.. back to serious stuff... I'm gonna love this thread :-) Please keep the pics coming of the dishes.
