Any good free webhosting and domains?

Just looking for something to mess around with really. I used to use 000webhost but was looking something that maybe supported a wider selection of languages as I think it was only php and html?

Do you want to mess around to just learn? Or with something you can show people?

It's pretty easy to run a local server if you want to teach yourself, and you'll have more control.

Mainly just to learn although being able to show it to people would be good.

Just get a Vidahost account setup for £17 a year and over the course of the year drink 5 less pints - money better spent

Also means if you actually come up with anything you want to keep you don't have to faff around with changing hosts.
