I know there are loads of mods and if i could be bothered to look on ModDB i'd find em.

But are there any that are actually any good that you guys actually play??

Ta :)

Did you ever own/play on an N64? Ever play Goldeneye on the N64? Did you love it? If so give the Goldeneye Source mod a tryout. Imagine all the levels from the original game partnered with amazing HL2 graphics and physics and start drooling. Something is wrong with you if you don't.

good pimp none the less, ill go check it out, i had heard of it before, is it finished?
I knew someone was going to say that, I was thinking of writing a disclaimer at the end of my post saying something along the lines of:

"This was an official advertising post authorised and paid for the Goldeneye Source mod team 2006."

:D:p

Skinning and UVing: 40%
Coding: 70%
Sound: 50%

In internal Alpha statges
(June 2006)"

Ahh the hours i played that on the N64! Nice find there, will try it out. I like Fake Factory's Cinematic mods, not a different game but pleasent gfx. Needs a lot of ram though!

I've downloaded that but not actually used it. It increases the resolution and detail of the graphics yes? I have to say HL2 looks pretty stunning, admittedly zooming in on some walls does show it could be improved however.

Doesn't the Fake Factory mod also alter the effectiveness/power of the weapons so that even with the pistol you can kill with one or two shots, meaning not only can you kill quicker but you can also get killed quicker. Glad I read the readme and noticed that bit. Would not have wanted to install the mod for the graphics and wondering why the hell I'm getting killed here.

I never had much games, £50 ****** quid for one!

Yes, Fake FActory mods does alter the way weapons behave. The characters look unbelievable. Show me a game with skin models this good..

Let down by the environment and other objects but still amazing!

dystopia is pretty cool, like a futuristic hacking mod, cyberpunk stuff.

also, the battlegrounds mod is also pretty fun for a while.

I have just re-installed this game and downloaded a 1.1Gb mod!

FakeFactory & Ogg's Cinematic 2.32 Full Hi-Res Pack. It's on FileFront.

Changes the textures, objects, music, game play (i.e. Weapon Characteristics) and it looks amazing now! :D I've actually just bought 2Gb of RAM to help as in places it sticks and load times have increased, but well worth a download. :D

goldeye source is pathetic imo, its not even got a crosshair for aiming purposes
James Bond doesn't need a crosshair.:p

Pffh. Get a felt-tip pen and paint a crosshair on the screen if that'll make you happy.

I have to confess when GES first came out and there were reports that no crosshair was in-game I thought that was a bit weird but I suppose the developers have a reason.

Heat of Battle, the old CoD mod removed the crosshair. You get used to it, and it stops you pulling off silly shots (most of the time).

I agree its just not the same as the 64 version. I played it for about 5 mins then gave up. Nice effort but just doesnt work.
