I was looking for new RAM for my new i7 rig and find good deal with OCZ Reaper 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-15000 (1800MHz) Tri-Channel (OCZ3RPR1800LV6GK), I planning buy INTEL CORE I7-920 2.66G and Asus P6T DELUXE V2, do this RAM is will be good for that system setup ? Any special setups I have to do to have correct RAM speed ? Any help will be grateful.

Thanks

It looks like good stuff - all of the ocz DDR3 kits are brilliant performers and that one looks no different.

What RAM are you currently running in your i7?

From the reading I have been doing - anything better than DRR3, triple channel, 1600MHz, CL8 only yield very marginal performance improvements but with spiralling cost, a kit like this should be more than enough (also it is in stock).

Right now I still running my old setup with E8500 and P5Q Deluxe, but until this socket have some value , I decided go for i7, Selling right now all this components, and start buy everything for i7 setup. This DDR3 I find on eBay for 40 pounds from USA, and ordered already Prolimatech Megahalems CPU cooler, I have plans overclock i920 CPU to 3Ghz. Only that I find out in forums is quite difficult to reach the stability with 1800Mhz RAM, any body have some experience with same RAM ?

Only 3Ghz, a 920 assuming its a D0 which it should be if you are buying now will easily do 4Ghz.
And 1800Mhz ram is overkill as the 920 @ 4Ghz will run the ram at 1600Mhz.
Id personaly save the money and buy some Patriot Viper (I did :D) or go for the Corsair Dominator if you feel like splashing a bit more cash.

I not planning go for extreme overclocking, but you never know…I already pay for that RAM, 10 days delivery time, will try and will see, its are any good.

Well the Reaper is good stuff so if you've already bought it I wouldt worry.
Just be aware that without some serious overclocking that ram will never reach its full potential which is rather sad (snif) ;)
