Don't know much about vintage speakers, but Technics did make some very good stuff. If it were just the Wharfedale's and the Eltax amp, I'd say no; but with the inclusion of the Technics speakers as well though, then that could make the purchase worth getting.

No idea how good Eltax amps are though.

The Technics are pretty good, but Wharfedales aren't great - sort of like an old school version of the Wharfedale Diamond 9.1s. The drivers are okay but the housings are crappy. Eltax did (and do) make some half decent stuff, but I cant comment on that specific amp. For reference, that's looking like a mid-90s budget HT set-up.

@Kei, I believe you know your vintage stuff, and for some reason I think you have some older Technics - is there anything you can add here?

EDIT: Here is a link to the amp - click. Spec wise it's pretty impressive and has a lot of power. No info on its sound profile though.

That's the best way really. I know it's an obvious thing to say, but; have a listen first, then decide whether it's worth buying.

If you want a stereo set up, then it's shame that those Wharfedale's are included, because the seller will probably like more (as in £100, rather than less), because there's an extra 2 speakers. From a buyer's point of view, they'd be paying for another pair of speakers they don't want or need. Depends on the seller, but it might be easier to get them to accept less if there were just the Technics speakers and amp.

Of all the gear there, the only interesting bit is the technics speakers. I don't expect them to be spectacular but I doubt that they are poor either. Worth a punt if under £50.
