Any Graphics Tablets Users

Having just purchased a Wacom Intuos and used it for a few days, I'm on the verge of returning it.

I want to annotate and scribble/write over printed material for presentation. Handwriting on an iPad was great - it looked like handwriting, but all my efforts so far have looked like poor attempts in MS Paint with a mouse.

What I want to achieve is smooth handwriting (as on all the advertising blurb) on top of PDFs, powerpoint slides etc.

Any advice welcome.

I found my Wacom took some getting used to; the response is quite different from a mouse.

What software are you using it in?

Just powerpoint and word up to now. What do you use?

I use it for photo retouching (when I CBA) in Photoshop.

I wonder if the Office apps don't have the same level of support for pressure sensitivity, etc?

Tried a few more now and the results are the same - pretty awful. Going back to an iPad now. Reason for trying the Wacom (with wireless) was to avoid upgrading my iPad and Apple TV to wirelessly connect to a projector without using an additional wireless network - the new devices offer peer 2 peer airplay so easy to do now.
