Hello everyone,

im hoping i could get some guidance at upgrading my system which is a few years old now and getting a bit slugish, im very much out of the technolodg route recently unfortunately.

my current system is

case: coolmaster elite 330U
Power supply: coolmaster 500w
processor: I3-2100 3.10ghz
mobo: Gigabyte H61M-USB3-B3
Graphcs: radeon 6870
RAM: corsair ddr3 8GP (2x4)
HDD: seagate barracuda 500gb
O/S: windows 7

im hoping i can upgrade this to run the new total war warhammer game on high settings but dont know if this may be a bit optimistic, my system at the moment is used quite heavily for gaming and it can still run a lot of games on the high setting but i feel it wouldnt manage that with the newer games coming out and struggles with games like borderlands 2 when a lot of stuff starts going off (battlefront 2 etc)

thank you for any suggestions/help/guidance/shove in the right direction.

Just get a new GPU whenever you feel like it. This year, or next year.

After doing that, then if it's discovered to be CPU bound can sell the i3 later on and buy some 2nd hand i5 / i7.

i actually thought it was coming out this year for some reason....oh how wrong i was aha

so if i went and popped a gtx 970 in there i potentially wouldnt need to upgrade anything else?

And probably a extra hhd aha

i would do this..

You can buy a windows 7 OEM license for less, then upgrade before 29th July 2016 to Win 10. Once activated, the OEM license will become locked to your motherboard.
