I'd definitely recommend that if you go for the 15" model you get the high def display option. It makes quite a difference to the resolution and is only £80. Personally, I'd go for the 15" version because you get the i7 processor, and the vast majority of the same features as the 17" version, just not quite as good a screen. It really depends whether you want it to be at all portable though, because lugging that 17" around is not fun. So unless you want a desktop replacement (in which case I'd recommend an iMac anyway), go for the 15".

I take it you're getting student discount or something at that price? If so, get the Applecare, totally worth it for £58!
