I was diagnosed with keratoconus when I was 12 I've had cxl surgery to halt the condition and have a contact lense implant .

My optometrist says my left eye is very good and my eyesight isn't hurrendous in my right and that I am of driving standard

I know that to drive an hgv lorry the standards are more stringent so I'm worried it will be an issue when I send off my medical .

I don't know what my eyesight level is at technically speaking , I have contacts but i don't like wearing them and they don't improve my vision , because they are notorious for making the eyes dry because there is little oxygen going to the cornea underneath so this makes eyesight inconsistent

I can see a car license plate from 20 metres in both eyes unaided

Is there any hgv drivers out there with KC

Was it an issue ?
